8 Ways To Repurpose Old Content

Before we launch into repurposing tactics, let s get a few things straight. First, repurposing content is not lazy writing; it s smart marketing! Top 8 Practices B2B Content Marketers Use to Be Successful

Clients often ask me, How in the world did you find your team of writers? Mod Girl Marketing has had the same solid, effective gang of content marketers for the better part of a decade. In this industry, that achievement is a nugget of pure gold! Bloggers may be a dime a dozen these days, but finding true masters of the writing craft who also know a thing or two about marketing is quite another matter entirely. Truth be told, in the early months of founding my company, it took a lot of sorting, weeding and prospecting to find the right partners. What ultimately worked for me was looking for self-motivated people with entrepreneurial spirits who worked for themselves and had degrees in professional fields like business, marketing, teaching or journalism. 3 Common Duplicate Content Mistakes & How to Fix Them

No newspaper owner would ever dream of copying another paper s editorial and reprinting it verbatim. However, the ease of cutting-and-pasting an article online has made duplicate content an all too easy solution for the cash-strapped business looking to rank in the search engines. In the past, website owners were able to get away with theft without suffering much repercussion. Nowadays, search engines have filters to detect this sort of activity and sites caught stealing are penalized with deplorable rankings. That form of duplicate content is obvious, but we ve worked with clients who had no idea they were being called out as plagiarists due to simple errors they were making. In this week s post, we cover three ways you may inadvertently be sabotaging your SEO efforts with duplicate content and what you can do to remedy the situation. 8 Reasons Why ‘Appearance’ Is Everything For Brands

Modern marketing has lost its way. In recent years, the spotlight has focused on which new tools and technologies will yield business success. Executives are scrambling to find the latest automation software that will solve all their problems and deliver sales. Michael Karg, CEO of Razorfish, contends that intelligence, rather than image will shape the future of marketing. We would argue that the collection of data and technology makes a business more efficient, but doesn t necessarily make the brand more likable to consumers and prospective clients. Data gathering is a tactic, not a strategy. Strategically, businesses still need to be asking themselves, How does our image align with our core competencies and values? What do our customers expect to see from us? How can we convey professionalism through design? Aesthetic considerations and web copy wording used to be the primary focus, but is now overlooked in pursuit of analytics, tech solutions and automation. Looks are just one

Top 3 Healthcare Digital Marketing Trends That Are Here to Stay

Healthcare digital marketing requires a special set of rules and oversight that does not necessarily apply to our other clients. We must make sure that all copywriting complies with HIPAA and FDA rules. We have to ask questions like: Are we avoiding the use of patient names in all writing, unless expressly permitted? Are we letting people know our advice is not meant to substitute a trip to the doctor s for professional medical counsel? Are we including enough information? Are all claims completely accurate? We have a whole other set of concerns when we look at B2B healthcare companies and healthcare technology firms. Are we explaining the features and benefits in a digestible way? In a competitive market, how can we present these particular products or services as unique and desirable? How do we make it easier for healthcare organizations to adopt new technology and give it a try? Despite these hurdles, healthcare marketing cannot be overlooked. Outsourcing some of these marketing duties becomes the obvious choice, says Mandy McEwen, founder of Mod Girl Marketing. McEwen says companies can save big on the following tangible business expenses: - $73,000 for mid-level marketer salary (taken from 2015 MOZ salary report)
